relationship therapy

To love is to be vulnerable. That’s why it’s easy to get hurt. It may feel like the whole world is caving in on you right now. To stop loving is not an option. How can you get beyond the pain? Here are some tips to help you move on.

You can get there from here.

Rediscover Yourself

You may feel lost and unsure of who you are right now. The solution? Redefine yourself. Do new things and spend time with new people. Expose yourself to new challenges and experiences.

Cut Off Contact

Unfortunately, there are so many ways to keep tabs on an ex these days. Don’t be a stalker. Do not call, text, email or DM. Give yourself time to detach emotionally.

Cry Then Laugh

Crying relieves emotional stress. You know you always feel better after a good cry. Laughter releases endorphins. These feel-good chemicals help to relieve the pain.

Take Care of Yourself

Maintain a routine of eating healthy, exercising regularly and getting enough sleep. Allow yourself the time you need and be gentle. Don’t let it steal your self-worth. Your broken heart will heal quicker when you declare that you are worthy.

Stop Blaming Yourself

If you fought until the very end to keep it alive, you did everything you could. You will never have to live with the guilt of being the one who gave up too easily.

 Let Go

Rage, disbelief, denial and depression. A breakup can result in a whole range of emotions bubbling to the surface. Don’t suppress them or try to numb yourself. Feel what you feel and then just let go.
