Sometimes you underestimate the power of your thoughts. That’s why it’s important to monitor the negative ones. You don’t need to be a slave to your thoughts. Here are some ways to let go.
The first step is to remember that you have a choice. You can consciously decide to stop replaying incidents in your head. Just tell yourself to let go.
2- Identify the Root Cause
The only way to truly know is to reflect on any unresolved issues in your life. If you continue to avoid them, it will be nearly impossible to release negative thoughts.
Like subtle grudges, you may not be aware of limiting beliefs you have about yourself or others. Learn to recognize negative thinking patterns and cognitive distortions, and then change them.
When you’re completely wrapped up in the here and now, there’s little time or energy to ponder past wrongs.
Guess what: all your emotions will eventually be nothing more than vague memories. As tough as it may be now, this too will pass.
You can have control over your thoughts and feelings, but you must first learn to monitor them. It may be difficult to imagine yourself being happy right now, but know that you have the ability to let go and move forward.
